Tate Throndson, Lead Pastor
Since its opening meetings in 2008, Castleview Baptist Church has thrived under the leadership and service of Pastor Tate Throndson and his wife, Debbie, along with their two sons. The Throndsons have been in full-time ministry for over 25 years. Now an empty nester, Debbie has been able to return to the nursing profession, working with a local home health agency. She’s passionate about creating opportunities to mentor and grow with other ladies in the church, and she particularly enjoys fellowshipping around creative activities. In his free time, Tate often opts to get outdoors, whether to hike a 14er, run a marathon, or just practice his golf swing. And while he enjoys traveling to speak at churches, youth conferences, and couples’ retreats with Debbie, it’s obvious that his heart is in Castle Rock with his shepherding ministry here at Castleview.
Johnathan Rasmussen, Assistant Pastor
Johnathan Rasmussen has been serving at Castleview Baptist Church since February of 2023! He serves Castleview as the Assistant Pastor, specializing in administrative duties as well as leading our college and career program. Johnny serves alongside his wife Whitney and two sons, Connor and Kaison! Pastor Johnny grew up in Los Angeles, California, and attended college at Pensacola Christian College. He enjoys outdoor activities, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family!
Christian Lewis, Worship & Youth Pastor
Christian Lewis joined the Castleview team in the summer of 2022 and leads our youth and music ministries. Before that he worked at a church in his hometown in Alabama. Christian has a heart for the teens and schools in Castle Rock and the surrounding areas! He enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, and watching or playing sports. But he may be most known for his love of Alabama football.
Brett Schon, Children's Pastor
Brett Schon joined the Castleview team in June of 2026 and serves as the children's pastor. A graduate of Pensacola Christian College with a degree in Pastoral Ministries, Brett is passionate about helping children grow in their faith and building strong relationships with families. Originally from Hickory, North Carolina, he enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and traveling whenever he has the opportunity.
